A small north Devon town, Bideford lies on the River Torridge estuary, and is well known for its 24 arch, Long Bridge which dates back to the 13th century and links the town proper with East-the-Water, many of its finest houses were built by the town's wealthy shipowners. Bideford has a good selection of hotels and holiday rental accommodation, there are also a variety of holiday cottages on offer in the area.
Bideford is situated in northern Devon and can be accessed via the A39 or the A386, it is about 10 miles south-west of Barnstaple.
